Looking to Buy Compatible Printer Cartridges Online?

With so many online stores out there to choose from, it is a daunting task to pick the right one. Here are some tips to choose an online store and make good, informed purchases of compatible ink cartridges and toner cartridges.

1. Quality Check whether the store says anything about the quality. It may be true that all the stores that talk about quality may not \"really\" offer quality products. But, suppliers offering quality products would definitely like to tell and publicize about it. It is always good to check vendor\'s commitment to quality.

2. Price While you should check for lowest price, it should not be the only criteria for the decision. You will see different prices at different online stores, often at unbelievable price differences from one store to another. The deciding factors should be quality, return policy and customer service if you want to avoid bad experiences. You should make an informed decision while purchasing the printer cartridge.

3. Warranty The online store allows you to return a product only if there is still warranty on it. Make sure that the store has a good warranty policy. While a 90 days warranty is ok, it is better if the store offers a warranty for 6 months on the printer cartridges. If there is a problem with a cartridge, you will normally notice it with in few days of installing it. It is rare that a cartridge fails after working for few weeks.

4. Customer service This is also important like the price. You should expect and get the best service. I tend to prefer customer service over price while making a purchase. Recently for the holidays, I purchased an item from a leading electronics store website. I was charged for shipping even though free shipping was offered. I had to make about 15 calls and wait for a month to get the amount credited. I will think twice before buying from that online store again.

5. Return policy I would prefer the store to offer free shipping to return the defective cartridges. It may not be a big deal compared to the gas and time that you spend to return an item even at some leading chain stores, but it certainly helps. It gives me confidence knowing that the purchase is risk free.

6. Website The site should be easy to navigate and find the inkjet cartridge or toner cartridge that you want. There were instances when I had to give up buying from some online stores just because I could not navigate to the products that I wanted to purchase. In addition to the above, it is also good to check security and privacy policy of the website before making a decision. While this article gives tips for printer cartridges, these are useful for any online purchase.}

Match The Right Color Ink Cartridge With Your Printer

The sophisticated technology of modern time pushed forward the possibilities of the regular printers. If in the beginning of the printers they were used mainly for black and white documents, today we can enjoy the wonderful world of colors by printing anything with performing printers, some of them created especially for colorful documents.

The manufacturers provided us with printers that can help us print our photos in our own home and still get the quality of the photos printed at a local photo center. Especially when you print photos, the color ink cartridge might run out of ink very fast and you need to replace it if you still want to enjoy color printing. It is recommended that you refill your color ink cartridge when it is empty: it is a cheaper alternative than buying a brand new cartridge and you can contribute to the ecological balance in a right way by recycling the color ink cartridge.

On the other hand, you might not be as lucky if you have a last generation printer because many of them do not allow refilling the color ink cartridge and you have to purchase a new one. There are two types of color cartridges that can be used for color printing and they each match a certain type of printer and a certain type of printing heads. The single three- color cartridge is the oldest type of ink cartridge and you can find it on older printers and some of the new ones too. This color ink cartridge contains three separate rooms for each color: red, yellow and green or other group of colors and it has the size of three individual ink cartridges put together.

The individual color cartridges are very popular nowadays and they are used for printers such as Canon or Epson. Each color ink cartridge contains one specific color and you can purchase only the colors you use the most. Though, you have the choice of buying complete packages with the main colors instead of searching through different stores for a certain color. After you buy the individual color ink cartridge just add it to the right printer head and start printing. The advantage of new printers is that they can actually control each color ink cartridge with an intelligent system when you print. }

Computer Printer

A computer printer, or more commonly a printer, produces a hard copy (permanent human-readable text and/or graphics) of documents stored in electronic form, usually on physical print media such as paper transparencies. Many printers are primarily used as computer peripherals, and are attached by a printer cable to a computer which serves as a document source. Other printers, commonly known as network printers, have built-in network interfaces (typically wireless or Ethernet), and can serve as a hardcopy device for any user on the network.

In addition, many modern printers can directly interface to electronic media such as memory sticks or memory cards, or to image capture devices such as digital cameras, scanners; some printers are combined with a scanners and/or fax machines in a single unit.

A printer which is combined with a scanner can essentially function as a photocopier.

Printers are designed for low-volume, short-turnaround print jobs; requiring virtually no setup time to achieve a hard copy of a given document. However, printers are generally slow devices (30 pages per minute is considered fast; and many consumer printers are far slower than that), and the cost-per-page is relatively high.

In contrast, the printing press (which serves much the same function), is designed and optimized for high-volume print jobs such as newspaper print runs--printing presses are capable of hundreds of pages per minute or more, and have an incremental cost-per-page which is a fraction of that of printers.

The printing press remains the machine of choice for high-volume, professional publishing. However, as printers have improved in quality and performance, many jobs which used to be done by professional print shops are now done by users on local printers; see desktop publishing.

The world's first computer printer was a 19th century mechanically driven apparatus invented by Charles Babbage for his Difference Engine.
